Xynergo is dedicated to production of sustainable and competitive 2nd generation fuels for transportation and stationary applications utilizing woody biomass to abate our common climate change challenge.
In contrast to fossil fuels, Xyn-fuels are made from a renewable source, have a CO2 reduction potential of 90% compared to fossil fuels and have substantially less local environmental effects. With an extra investment the whole process can even be carbon-negative, i.e. taking CO2 out of the atmosphere.
Xyn-Diesel™ has excellent quality and can substitute or blend with fossil diesel by any ratio. There are no additional infrastructure requirements and no adaptation needed to utilize the fuel in existing diesel combustion engines and power-trains.
The full-scale Xyn-Diesel™ plant will provide 14% of the total Norwegian demand for road transportation diesel. The Xyn-oil™-production will cover 10% of the Norwegian demand for heavy fuel oil.
